WIP or NIP?

This week I made a very bold decision......to finish all my WIP's! For people who don't know what a WIP is: it means Work In Progress.

 Normally you start a project and finish it. So how does a project ends somewhere in a dark corner of a closet and becomes a NIP (Not In Progress)?

Something happens what causes you to stop with your project: you get an order (yahoo!!), you run out of yarn (oh nooooo!!), you have problems understanding a pattern and get stuck (?????) or you have finished all the crochet work and but gets demotivated because you really, really, yes really, dislike sewing all the parts together or sewing all the loose ends in (aaaaargh!!).

So you put your WIP aside for a while and starts with other things.....
And your WIP becomes from a NIP to a WNBF (Will Never Be Finished) and finally a DIATB (Dumped In A Trash Bin).

But this week I decided to break this circle of growing pile of NIP's in the closet and finish them all! I hope to show you some almost WNBF's and DIATB's very soon.

Blogging is hard work.....

Oh noooo

Oh dear.....I saw it's almost 4 months (!!) ago I posted for the last time on my Blog.

What kept me busy all those months? Uhm....well, I made a lot of new products which I can't post here or on my Facebook page because unfortunately there isn't enough sunlight to make good photos. So maybe I get lucky and there will be enough light and otherwise I have to wait untill summer 2015! :)

An other reason why it took so long before I had finally enough courage to write a post is: blogging is hard work!! Oh yes....it is!

I see so many great Blogs! Full of photos of beautiful nature.....and many pictures about cozy cups of hot steaming tea or coffee and last but not least: great delicious looking plates of food!! I don't have photos like that. I'm afraid I'm not a great photocrapher or cook.....and I'm to greedy. When I see delicious food, I dive in and start eating without even thinking of making a photo....until it's to late and the onc-so-delicious-looking plate of food looks like a car crash. And an other missed opportunity to make a nice photo for my Blog ;)

Because English is not my native language, it always takes so much time to write a post. It takes a lot of time and effort and who is going to read this?

Oops...

Oops...

It is almost a month ago that I posted on my blog! I can't believe it! I'm a bit ashamed.......but you know how it goes: time flies when you are having fun! ;)

But I did some crocheting lately and made a new blanket. I don't know why but it has something Arabic about it....at least I think it has ;). Anyway, I'm very happy with the result!

I also made a custom made order. These are moose head trophies but ofcourse the animal-friendly (and child-friendly) ones ;)

I will miss my mooses when they leave for their final destination! I hope they will make their new owners  very happy :)

Amazing Asia!

It's two weeks ago that I returned from my vacation. I went to Asia for six weeks and I really had a great time!

I want to share some photo's to show you how beautiful it was.

Ofcourse the journey started with my flight and a beautiful view of the sky! The clouds looked so soft and inviting....I wanted to take a nap on them :)

I was in Asia during the celebration of Buddha's birthday. There was a lantern parade. The lanterns are made of paper.

In the weeks leading to Buddha's birthday, people hang lanterns in temples and on the streets. The hanging lanterns are symbolic for offerings of light, wisdom and compassion in a world too often filled with darkness and suffering. And how beautiful this gesture is and looks!

Amazing, the contrast between an old temple and modern buildings next to each other.

Ofcourse I had to post some photo's of the beautiful nature.

Back in town!

Home sweet home!

After six weeks I'm finally back in town! Still busy with unpacking and getting settled so just a short notice that I'm back and will post soon some pictures!

Say cheese!

I want to introduce my new friend Fleur!

My new friend: Fleur

Fleur is a typical Dutch girl wearing wooden shoes and a costume. This week she will start a new exciting adventure: she will emigrate to Asia! Yes indeed, she is going to start a new life in Asia. She already packed her bags and chose her favorite cheese so she is ready to go! :)

She will miss Holland: sandwiches with cheese, Dutch candies, the wind mills and all the other beautiful Dutch landscapes.

Why is Lotte going to Asia? Well....let me explain. This week I will go on vacation for 6 weeks (!! Yes….6 weeks!! And I have the intention to enjoy every day of it!) to Asia. I'm invited to stay some days at the place of a very nice woman. As a gift for her hospitality and kindness I made Lotte for her as a souvenir/reminder from Holland. So we will fly together to Asia but after 6 weeks I will leave her behind.

Although saying goodbye will be hard, I’m sure she will get a very good life with her new family! :)

This morning I woke up early and went outside for a little stroll. It was very misty and it felt like I was walking in the clouds. It looked wonderful!

And then I saw this flower....it looks like ice or glass. So fragile and translucent.

Summertime!

Yesterday was the start of summertime in Holland. So Saturday night at 12 it was time to set the clock an hour forwards.  And this weekend we had wonderful weather to match the summertime! You can see it's spring because my garden is filled with wonderful colours :)
