Summertime!

Yesterday was the start of summertime in Holland. So Saturday night at 12 it was time to set the clock an hour forwards.  And this weekend we had wonderful weather to match the summertime! You can see it's spring because my garden is filled with wonderful colours :)

My plum tree is blossoming and in August the plums are ready to be eaten!

My apple tree is just starting to blossom and I have to wait untill September/October before I can make an apple pie.

XXL Granny Square blanket

I finally finished and photographed my latest project: the XXL Granny Square blanket! Yahoo! Doesn’t it look super retro? ;)

I thought I would finish the blanket on Wednesday but I’m always (unpleasantly) surprised how time-consuming the finishing of a project is. When I finish the last square or row, I always have to hold myself in not to yell a very loud and relieved YES!!!! Finished and almost ready to be posted!

Sigh….that would be in a perfect world where little elfs would wave their magic wands and all the tail ends will be disappeared! But no, we don’t live in that kind of world, I have to do it myself. And oh my…what a lot of work to crochet the squares together…..to weave in all the tail ends…..to make the border. It cost me (at least) an other day before I’m truly finished.

You know what they say: fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me…. I am fooled every time! Does this mean I’m a fool or am I a very optimistic person? I’m absolutely convinced the second option is the right one! ;)

Knock, knock who’s there?

It’s quite strange when you start a Blog. You write about something that’s on your mind and then you post it….for others to read. But does actually someone read your post? Is your post being read only by yourself?….or 1 person other person?…or 10 others?….or 100 others….or…well, I think you get the idea ;)

And why am I posting? Is my life more interesting then the life of many others? Is my life interesting at all or so boring that I have lots of time to post on my personal Blog? ;) This will be an unanswered equally important question as Shakespeare’s “to be or not to be….”.

Although the reason of starting a Blog is not quite certain at this point, I do know that I enjoy writing for my Blog! And I hope that in future there will be someone who enjoys reading my posts! For those who do read my post, a little sneak peak of my newest project.
